8-week program for children ages 7-9: If you love drawing and comic books, then this Comic Book class is perfect for you. Wallace Ryan, a local cartoonist and comic book artist, will teach you all about the history of comic books. He'll take you through all the steps of making your own comic book, from creating your characters to writing your stories, and all aspects of drawing them. You'll dabble in design, penciling, inking, lettering, and sound effects. Wallace will also delve into specialty comics and covers, and show you how to make your own mini-comic.
A veteran of 20 years of teaching comic books at the Anna Templeton Centre and Memorial University, Award-winning Artist Wallace Ryan looks forward to educating you on the history of comic books and teaching you everything you need to know about comic strips.
