About this Event
This event will consist of morning and afternoon booking slots and includes a road safety presentation, an observed drive with a qualified skills observer from the Institute of Advanced Motorists & a demo on station with firefighter crews of a road traffic collision rescue.
This day is run in partnership with Avon Fire & Rescue Service, Bristol Advanced Motorists and the Town & Parish Council Forum of South Gloucestershire. By the end of the day you will have enhanced your driving skills, further developed safe driving habits, gained a greater understanding of passenger responsibility, learned practical tips to save money and have the opportunity to sign up to a place on IAMs advanced driving course.
Timings:
AM group - please arrive promptly at 9:45am, day to conclude at 1:05pm.
PM group - please arrive promptly at 11:55am, day to conclude at 3:15pm.
Please note:
- Drivers must be aged between 17-25 to attend.
- Limited to 32 spaces, 16 per time slot.
- Drivers will be required to park their own car offsite and walk to station for morning or afternoon arrival time slots.
- The observed drive will be completed in the drivers' own car.
- Free parking available at Tesco for 4 hours. Tesco, 12 East Walk, Yate, Bristol, BS37 4AS.
- Drivers must ensure they have a valid full uk driving licence and car insurance prior to the event. The driving license, proof of insurance, and car registration details must be shown on arrival of the event.
- Following the event, attendees will also have the opportunity to continue their learning through the IAM RoadSmart Advanced Driver Course.
- Refreshments will be provided.
