You Are Not Supposed to Know How to Do This
Most families don't plan for death until they're already living it. By then, you're making decisions in a hospital hallway with no time to think and no idea what your options even are.
This session is about getting ahead of that. Morgan Fava, death doula and end-of-life educator, will walk through what actually needs to be in place, what local resources exist right here in the Gorge, and how to start the conversation with the people you love before it's urgent.
We'll cover:
- What documents and decisions matter most, and which ones people usually forget
- Local resources available in Hood River and the surrounding area
- How to bring this up with a parent or partner without it turning into a fight
Free and open to anyone caring for aging parents, thinking about their own wishes, or just tired of avoiding the topic.
