About this Event

YogaVoice®: Awaken Your Voice

Opening up your voice is a skill that anyone can learn!

In this experiential YogaVoice® workshop, you’ll explore the powerful connection between your breath, body, mind, and voice to discover greater freedom, ease, and authenticity in the way you express yourself.

YogaVoice® integrates time-honored yoga practices, breathwork, body awareness, and systematic vocal technique to support vocal wellness and remove obstacles that may be limiting your natural expression. Rather than forcing your voice to perform, you’ll learn to cultivate the conditions for your voice to emerge with greater clarity, resonance, and ease.
What the workshop will include

  • Introduction to YogaVoice®: Explore the relationship between yoga, breath, vocal function, and authentic expression.
  • Breath and body awareness: Discover how mindful breathing and gentle movement can support vocal freedom.
  • Experiential vocal practice: Explore vocal bija mantras, toning, resonance practices, and expressive sound in a supportive environment.
  • Rejuvenating Soundbath: Relax into a final savasana and be serenaded by therapeutic-grade CrystalTones® singing bowls and voice.

Whether you’re a singer, a public speaker, a yoga teacher, or simply someone who wants to feel more confident using your voice, this workshop offers a supportive space to explore your unique sound and discover what becomes possible when your whole self is involved.

No previous singing or yoga experience is necessary. All bodies, voices, and experience levels are welcome!

What you'll come away with
  • A practical, embodied approach to opening your voice with greater ease and freedom.
  • Breathwork and gentle movement practices to support vocal function and body awareness.

  • Greater awareness of the relationship between your physical body, energetic centers, and vocal expression.
  • Opportunities to explore your authentic voice without the pressure of sounding a particular way.
  • Practices to help you approach singing and speaking with more presence, confidence, and intention.
  • A deeper connection to your voice as a tool for creativity, communication, and personal expression.
  • Simple practices you can take home and incorporate into your daily life.

Why practice yoga and voice together?

Your voice is more than a mechanism for producing sound. It is a powerful instrument of communication, connection, and self-expression, reflecting the interplay of your physical, mental, emotional, and energetic states.

YogaVoice® brings together the wisdom of yoga and the principles of healthy vocal technique to support the whole person, not just the voice in isolation.

Through mindful movement, breath awareness, and vocal exploration, you can begin to notice patterns of tension, effort, or disconnection that may interfere with your natural expression. By cultivating greater body awareness and learning to work with your breath, you can develop a more sustainable relationship with your voice.

Sound itself offers an opportunity to become more present in your body. The vibrations of your own voice can become a form of meditation, inviting you to listen inwardly, quiet mental chatter, and experience the connection between your breath, body, and sound.

This is an invitation to move beyond overthinking or striving for the “perfect” voice and instead discover the freedom, clarity, and authenticity that emerge when you learn to listen to your body and work with your voice.

Your voice doesn't need to be forced into existence. Sometimes, the work is learning to remove what stands in its way.

Reconnect with your breath, rediscover your voice, and experience the freedom of authentic expression.
