Wyrd War conjures yet another enchanted evening of film and live music at the Hollywood Theatre! Join us on Saturday October 10, 2026 for elusive dungeon synth artist THANGORODRIM's FIRST WEST COAST PERFORMANCE, with local support from Portland's own shadow caster IMP, followed by a rare big screen presentation of Russell Mulcahy’s beloved fantasy epic HIGHLANDER (1986).
Christopher Lambert (SUBWAY) stars as Connor MacLeod, an immortal swordsman from the Scottish Highlands, who finds himself dealing antiques in New York City during the neon Reagan era. Through a series of flashbacks, MacLeod realizes that the army of benevolent Immortals has diminished, and he alone must face his leather clad nemesis The Kurgan, played by Clancy Brown (THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION), to prevent the eternal enslavement of humanity. “There can be only one!” This is indeed THE ONE. Doors 6pm. Music 6:30pm. Film 8:30pm.
This event heralds the release of DUNGEON SYNTH: THE PHOTOGRAPHY OF PETER BESTE from Hat & Beard Press. Peter Beste will join Dennis Dread for an onstage discussion about the process of assembling his stunning new body of work focused on the emerging fantasy synthesizer resurgence. Books and limited-edition art prints will be available in the lobby throughout the evening.
