We started cleaning up overgrown foliage and removing tons of legacy dirt from the parking lot and curb areas under the West Seattle Bridge over the Summer. Both SDOT and Nucor Steel have helped remove the material. Friday will be the final push in removing the last of the dirt piles we’ve made with Nucor providing a contractor to come out and haul it away. We’ll be working from the bottom of the west most parking lot and bus stop to the east down through the columns towards the Chelan Cafe. Some consolidation would likely help them be most efficient and of course trash collection is always an option. If time permits we can start knocking down the foliage overgrowth along the westbound exit to Harbor Ave.Parking & Meet-Up
There is parking under the bridge just east of Avalon Way and Harbor Ave. As you turn east under the bridge like you were headed to the lower bridge, take the first available left at the bottom of the parking lot and head west on Spokane and then turn into the top of the lot, You’ll see the van in the top of the parking lot and we’ll start our work from there.
