About this Event
#WrittenInBlack with Alex Beresford is an in-person conversation for the ALL about literature, mental health and wellbeing.
Join Dopereaders for the final instalment of #WrittenInBlack 2026!! In partnership with Waterstones, as British TV weathercaster Alex Beresford joins us for an evening of conversation, literature and reflection exploring his book, Things We Should Talk About.
With November recognised as a time to raise awareness around men’s mental health, the conversation will explore the importance of opening up, challenging expectations placed on men, navigating life’s pressures, and making space for more honest conversations about mental health, relationships and wellbeing. Together, we’ll unpack topics often kept to ourselves and consider how to be more open with ourselves and those around us.
The conversation will be led by speaker, coach and author Richard Asomugha, bringing Alex’s experiences, perspectives and book to life. Whether you know Alex’s work, have read the book or simply want to take part in a conversation that matters, you’re welcome to join us.
