The people have spoken!Would you like to meet some fellow writers in the area? Then consider joining this writing session.
On the 21st of November (Saturday), you are kindly invited to join the first edition of our monthly writing marathon in the BnL.
https://bnl.public.lu/en.html
Let's meet at 09.45 in front of the library and prepare ourselves for what is known as 'the opening rush', it's a bit like what happens on Black Friday. The security guy, fearing for his life, opens the door and a horde of students race against time to deposit their stuff in a locker and claim a seat.
Will it be like that? Probably not, but best to put on your best running shoes and do some stretches.
What can you bring?
Whatever you need to keep yourself busy. Paper, a laptop, your taxes if that's what you want to do, and so on.
What should I not bring or do?
Nothing that could bother others.
How long will the event last?
The library is open from 10 till 18, but we'll write from 1O till 13. Afterwards, we could have lunch at Fischer, and those who want to continue writing afterwards can then do so.
What if I'm hungry? Can I eat in the library?
Eating in the library is not allowed, but there's a Fischer in the building, and for those who are interested, we could always take a little lunch break there.
I'm running late, where will you be?
We'll be sitting at one of the big tables at the end of the 3rd floor. If you're arriving later and aren't sure where to find us, feel free to comment on the event page and someone should be able to point you in the right direction.
Some other fun facts:
A library card is not needed to enter the reading area.
Bags and coats go in the lockers. To open and close a locker: press C, enter 4 numbers, then press the key.
The tables have electricity.
There's WiFi.
It's a library, so if you really want to shout, do so in silence.
Looking forward to seeing you all there!
