Writers in the Room:

Writers in the Room explores the question of what makes a good comedy through an imagined meeting of two great playwrights, Lady Gregory and Anton Chekhov. Bringing their distinct perspectives on humour, human nature and the absurd into conversation, the production features performances of Lady Gregory’s The Shoelace and Chekhov’s The Marriage Proposal.

As part of the club’s ongoing history, it is particularly special to be presenting a play by one of its earliest members, celebrating the creative legacy and theatrical spirit that have helped shape the club and the acting group .
