Wormwood Scrubs BMX Club - FREE Bike Repairs
Our 'Bike-Fix' sessions are for anyone who would like to have a professional mechanic take a look at their bike to make sure it is roadworthy and safe.
M-checks will be our initial assessment, and limited parts will be provided (cables and brake pads).
Bike-Fix is similar to a Dr Bike setting, but instead of letting the mechanic do all the work, you can learn how to do it yourself with their guidance. We aim to teach you how to do basic repairs and how to use different tools.
Anything that requires specialist tools and, therefore, is considered a BIG job will not be worked on; instead, we will advise what would be the best way going forward (eg. go to a bike shop, order some parts, go to other DIY spaces).
Club Sessions Schedule
11.00 - 14.00: Free Bike Repairs (every two weeks)
11.00 - 12.00: SEND group session
12.00 - 13.00: Women & Girls session
13.15 - 14.30: 'Open Access to All' session
Please book one slot per rider, per session.
We are taking £2 donations per rider to help the club with equipment maintenance.
