Presenting the works of the 42 awarded photographers, the annual exhibition brings depth and nuance to our understanding of the world’s complexities, highlighting the most compelling photojournalism and documentary photography of the past year.
The winners of the 2026 World Press Photo Contest were chosen by an independent jury of 31 professionals from around the world, who reviewed more than 57,376 photographs entered by 3,747 photographers from 141 countries.
