About this Event
Take an evening to step out of the everyday and reflect on one of life’s most important questions: What makes life meaningful?
We rarely have the opportunity to stop and ask ourselves what truly matters, what gives our lives direction, or what it means to live well.
Living Meaningfully, presented for World Philosophy Day 2026, creates a space to do exactly that.
Through conversation with thinkers and practitioners from different disciplines, you’ll encounter new ways of looking at purpose, belonging, connection and the human experience. The evening invites you to explore different perspectives, question familiar assumptions and reflect on what meaningful living might mean in your own life.
What makes life meaningful? Is it the relationships we build, the things we create, our connection with nature, the pursuit of knowledge, or the values and ideals we choose to live by?
Science has transformed our understanding of life and the universe. Yet some of our most enduring questions remain:
Who are we? Where do we belong? What gives our lives purpose? And what does it mean to live well?
The evening will bring philosophy, psychology, science, art, nature and the human experience into conversation — offering different pathways through which we might understand and create meaning.
An evening for curiosity and reflection
Philosophy is not only about ideas. It can help us examine how we live, recognise what matters to us and become more conscious of the choices we make.
You may leave with new ideas, deeper questions and a clearer sense of the values and choices that give direction to the way you live.
Come curious. Bring your questions. Join the conversation.
