Saturday, November 14th is World Diabetes Day!
We invite you to join us as we raise awareness of the seriousness of diabetes and celebrate Sir Frederick Banting's 135th birthday!
A major highlight of our World Diabetes Day Celebration is the unveiling of bricks in the Global Garden. This year marks our 10th anniversary! Each brick purchased helps supports Diabetes Canada. Purchase yours by visiting our website and clicking on the Shop Museum link. Then you can join us in person or online to view the unveiling.
Doors open at 6:00pm and formal programming begins at 7:00pm.
Admission and parking is FREE! Please remember to dress appropriately for the weather as this event is partially outdoors.
Evening activities will include:
•Museum open house
•Family friendly Lego Scavenger Hunt
•Diabetes-friendly treats and hot chocolate
•The opening of our newest exhibit in our rotating gallery
•The unveiling of the newly-installed commemorative bricks in the Global Garden
•The reading of “Dear Dr. Banting” letters left at the museum
We are looking forward to seeing you there!
