About this Event
Following on from the success of our very first World Café back in August, The Trust is delighted that the second World Café event is now scheduled for Saturday 18th July 2026.
The World Café is a structured, conversational process that encourages collaborative dialogue and shared insight in small groups. It’s grounded in the belief that conversations matter, especially when they’re held in a warm, thoughtful, and inclusive setting. This day will be a rich opportunity to meet collaboratively with colleagues, discuss potentially innovative ideas, building new levels of depth through informal dialog. There will be up to 12 different conversations to choose from, which will need to be selected by participants in advance.
Currently confirmed facilitators and topics:
- Founder, Trustee and Trainer Diana Whitmore: Living in a world with increasing chaos and challenge
- Sonja Rose: Talking about suicide: Embodied Knowing and the Unknowable
- Allan Frater: Why Fiction Matters (for therapists)
- Jonathan Richardson: The journey into private practice as a psychosynthesis practitioner
- Gian Montagna and Graduate Nick Field: The challenges and opportunities of exploring Gender, Sexual and Relational Diversities in Therapy
- Graduate Angela Mohtashemi: The challenges/opportunities of a stroke in psychotherapy
- Graduate Caitlyn McCarthy: Playing with the Paradox: Exploring the Transpersonal in Practice
- Swani Yip: Power and the therapeutic process
- Radhika Malhotra: Cultural difference in the therapeutic space
- Chris Damalis: The ‘I’, the ‘Self’, and the Freedom of the Present Moment
- Mikes Smith: Life Transitions and Death 5While we are still settling on final facilitators, we are honoured that
- Keith Silvester: approaching elder years - challenges and opportunities of old age
- Claudia Businaro: Breathwork and therapeutic relationships
A part of what made the first event successful is that each table held a maximum of 8 participants, so this structure will be repeated, whilst opening additional rooms to increase capacity. Places are expected to be limited and advise people to book early to avoid disappointment.
