About this Event

The Work and Cancer Peer Support Group brings together individuals affected by cancer to share experiences and mutual support related to navigating work and cancer.
Facilitated by MyMuse Australia and the Peter Mac Patient Employment Consultant, each session includes a practical education session, followed by a guided group discussion.
The program is open to anyone with a lived experience of cancer, whether you are currently working, returning to work, looking for work, or exploring your next steps.
You do not need to be a Peter Mac patient to attend.

Please register to attend these sessions of the Work and Cancer Peer Support Group in person as numbers are limited.

* Please note Work and Cancer support group is for people with a lived experience of cancer, we have separate support groups available for carers.
Topics may include:

  • Managing cancer side-effects at work or when looking for work
  • Knowing your workplace rights, options, and supports
  • Confidence, identity, emotional wellbeing, and work
  • Navigating your work journey, including explaining career gaps, returning to work, and developing job-seeking skills
