The main topic of the conference:
Empowering Women in Climate-Resilient Forestry
The conference will focus on building capacities and networks among women in forestry to address climate change and promote sustainable forestry.
The first day will consist of presentations and discussions with climate change as a common thread, split into sessions:
Session 1: Forest education - building knowledge and skills of women in the forestry sector.
Session 2: "I dare, I can, and I will!"- the role of women in combating climate change.
Session 3: Forestry in Iceland - facts, figures and female pioneers.
The second day there will be a field trip to the south of Iceland to learn about Icelandic forestry and its actions to adapt to climate change, especially as it relates to afforestation activities.
Conference language: The Conference will be held in English. No translation on offer.
Costs: Conference fee €100. Discount rate for students.
The final program will be announced at the beginning of September
