The WNY Workers Rights Board would like to invite you to join us Monday, October 26th at 1199SEIU (2421 Main Rd Suite 100, Buffalo, NY 14214) to hear our findings regarding the Hyatt Regency Buffalo. Our board includes Erie County Legislator Taisha St. Jean Tard, WNYALF president Denise Abbott, Cornell ILR Buffalo Co-lab Director Cathy Creighton, Canisius College Professor Howard Stanger, and Attorney Joe Guza. Please join them and the community as they report their findings. The Board originally held a hearing receiving testimony of Hyatt workers on 6/27/25. Since that time, the board has investigated numerous allegations regarding labor violations, health & safety violations, and discrimination by the management of Hyatt and Douglas Jemal against their own workers. We hope you are able to make it to the event, to hear directly from workers, the board members recommendations, and to read our report on the hotel’s conduct.
