About this Event
With Survivors, Always: From Awareness to Action is a one-hour, trauma-informed training designed to strengthen professional counselors' ability to recognize and respond to domestic violence. Using the Recognize–Respond–Respect–Connect framework, participants will explore coercive control, indirect disclosure, barriers to safety, trauma and survivor behavior, effective responses to disclosure, survivor autonomy, potential unintended risks of intervention, and warm referral to specialized domestic violence services. Participants will leave with practical strategies that can be immediately incorporated into professional practice.
