Join us for our 2nd annual Witchesgiving ✨️ Magic Makers circles begin with this land acknowledgment:
We acknowledge that the land on which we sit in circle was stolen from the Ute Nation, Cheyenne, Arapaho, Apache, Comanche, Shoshone, Ancestral Puebloans, and over 40 other tribal nations. They experienced genocide, ethnic cleansing, theft of their land and waters, and forced removal. Our ability to live, work and love this land is connected to their deep loss. We acknowledge that we have work to do. The rightful owners are still here. Still facing the brutality of colonization. Still facing the the threat of disappearance. Great Mystery show us how we can truly honor the ancestors of these lands. Breathing in we honor and remember by learning and telling the true history of the lands on which we reside. Breathing out we commit to action by supporting indigenous organizations, community members and creators.
Witchesgiving is one way we commit to honoring, remembering and taking action... Sharing in a circle of grief and gratitude with storytelling, singing, dancing, rituals of rage, release, repair and reconnection; followed by a decolonized harvest feast; and a love project benefitting Denver Indian Center.
What to Bring
Plate, napkin, water bottle, tea cup or glass for drink of choice
Decolonized dish to share
Journal and something to write with
If you feel called: a reading, story, poem, song or artwork that expresses grief around colonization and/or a story about an indigenous person that inspires gratitude - can be your own or another creators just credit them when sharing
Offerings for the altar, Great Mystery, First Mother, Lady Justice, the ancestors of the land we sit in circle on: wine, tobacco, copal, chocolate, honey, symbols of abundance, harvest, gratitude, expressions of grief, other altar additions, trinkets or treats for circle participants always welcome :)
As always, come as you are, however that looks/feels to you...
a goddess with a long flowing dress, a leafy crown in your hair or maybe antlers, or lazy witch style in your most comfortable clothes seems to be a fave ❤
Decolonized Harvest Feast
• Ancestral Ingredients: Focuses on native plants, wild game, fish, and foraged goods that sustained indigenous populations before colonization.
• The "Three Sisters": Centers on corn, beans, and squash—companion-planted crops that provide complete nutrition and support regenerative agriculture.
• Exclusion of Colonizer Staples: Eliminates processed foods, dairy, refined sugars, and domestic livestock (like beef and pork) linked to post-colonial health disparities like diabetes.
• Food Sovereignty: Reclaims ancestral food production, seed-saving, and ecological balance to heal communities and honor the land.

There is no parking on Colfax, Idk if there ever will be now? Parking is on side streets and there is a very small lot next door where we can park bc the business is unoccupied. Please don't knock before 4:30 - I need a little solo time to prepare the space and myself for ritual. Doors are locked at 4:50 to protect the sacred circle - we are on Colfax and need to be safe - please text if you have an emergency and will be late.
