This Month's Speakers:
Hattie Johnson
Born and raised in Minnesota, Hattie Johnson brings a unique blend of hospitality, operational excellence, and customer-first leadership to real estate lending. She began her career in the wedding industry, where delivering exceptional client experiences became a value she has carried throughout her career.
In 2022, Hattie transitioned into real estate finance at Renovo Capital, a hard money lender in Wayzata, MN, where she helped transform the company into the Twin Cities' top-recognized fix & flip lender. She was subsequently appointed Chief Operating Officer, focusing on internal systems, the customer journey, and client growth.
Today, Hattie serves as Senior Vice President of Lending for the Minnesota market at Renovo Financial, a nationally respected private lender headquartered in Chicago. She is leading the launch of the firm's Minnesota presence, offering a full suite of investment loans — fix & flip, new construction, multi-family, portfolio, and rental financing.
Known as a true connector, Hattie is driven by relationships, results, and a relentless focus on client success.
Ford Wagner
Ford Wagner is a Minnesota-based real estate investor and owner of Contractor Pros, a construction company that powers his renovation operation with dedicated crews and a project manager. With six years in the business, Ford got his start house hacking a duplex and has since built a rental portfolio on track to surpass 30 doors in 2026 — while on pace to purchase 60 properties this year.
He built his foundation in single-family fix & flip and BRRRR projects — starting by self-GCing his own work before scaling into a full operation — and has spent the last two years moving into larger multifamily, with his most recent acquisition being a 10-unit. Along the way, Ford has tackled some of the most complex rehabs out there, developing deep expertise in city code compliance, condemned properties, and intensive remodels that most investors won't touch.
