Winter Solstice Drum CircleOur final drum circle of 2027
You are warmly invited to gather with us for our final drum circle of the year, as we come together at the threshold of the Winter Solstice.
At this deepest turning of the year, when the night stretches long and the earth rests in darkness, we gather in circle to drum, to listen, to remember and to honour all that has brought us to this moment.
There is something sacred in the darkness.
It asks nothing of us but to become still enough to hear what is moving quietly within. It offers us a place to rest, to release what no longer needs to be carried and to tend gently to the seeds of all that is waiting to emerge.
May the darkness wrap you in its magic, so that you may come to know the luminosity you hold within.
For even on the longest night, the light is returning.
And we are walking towards it together, carrying hope for the days ahead and holding wishes of abundant love, peace and good health for one another.
At Solstice we also honour Módraniht, Mother’s Night, remembering the mothers of blood, bone and Spirit, the daughters of Eve and Danú, the ancient mother goddesses Danú and Frigg, the Matres, Matronae and Asynjur, and the women whose courage, wisdom, love and presence have shaped and inspired our own lives.
Our ancestors honoured the feminine powers that guarded the land and the tribe, watched over women in childbirth, protected warriors and labourers, and held the mysteries of life, death and renewal.
There is a deep wisdom in this season too. The wisdom of the Winter Woman.
She knows when it is time to turn inward. To become quiet. To sit with what has been, to loosen her hold on what must be left behind and to protect what is precious enough to carry into another season.
Winter reminds us that not everything needs to be hurried into the light. Some things need darkness. Some things need silence. Some things must be allowed to rest before they can be born anew.
So we gather.
We gather for the ancestors and for those who will come after us.
For the mothers and grandmothers, the daughters and sisters.
For the earth beneath our feet and the light within us.
For all that we are releasing, and all that we are quietly calling home.
Bring your drum if you have one, bring your voice, bring your heart, or simply bring yourself.
Together we will drum through the darkness and towards the returning light.
A blessed Solstice to you all.
May the darkness wrap you in its magic, that you may know the luminosity you hold within.
The light is returning and we are walking towards it together, with hope and abundant love, peace and health.
