Terms & Conditions
Whilst the orienteering sessions are social gatherings, and not races or formal events, at which everyone participates at their own risk, all participants must be competent navigators, and be medically and physically capable of completing the course. Entry to the event, is your acknowledgment that you are both medically fit and a competent navigator.
Everyone must wear suitable footwear & Hi-visibility clothing and carry a map, waterproof map case, pen/pencil, compass, whistle, suitable emergency clothing & equipment, full waterproof body cover and additional suitable warm clothing for the weather conditions. You must also carry a fully charged head-torch with spare batteries, and a working, fully charged, mobile phone. In addition, cyclists must also wear helmets and have, as a minimum, fixed front and rear lights on a suitable, fully road legal bike. Whilst a road bike should be suitable, a bike with a minimum of 32mm tyres is recommended. However, most cyclist choose to ride a gravel or maintain bike.
Whilst this is not a race, but a social individual time trial event, there are goodies up for grabs. You never know, you might even be awarded the Spam Trophy! As this isn't a formal event, but a social gathering, there is no insurance cover in place. It is up to those taking part to ensure they have personal and property liability insurance in place, if felt required. By taking part in the event, you acknowledge that you are taking past at your own risk and agree to the above conditions.
