Three bands. Three shows. One cold December Sunday that’s about to get loud. ❄️🔥School of Rock Northshore takes over Chafunkta Brewing in Mandeville for Winter Music Fest, and our students play every note. Each band spent the season at the school learning a full show built around one theme, and now they get to play it for real.
🎤 Women of Rock — the voices and riffs that kicked the door down
🤘 Classic Metal — big hair energy, bigger guitars
🎶 One Hit Wonders — the songs everybody knows the words to
Never been to a School of Rock show? Picture a real concert, real amps, real crowd, with students on every instrument. School of Rock Northshore is an extracurricular, performance-based music school offering programs for students ages 4 through adult, and live shows like this are the whole point. Young musicians playing for their own community is how rock music keeps its pulse, here on the Northshore and everywhere else in the world. This is the future of music, and it’s playing a brewery in Mandeville.
