Commemorate 202 years since Windradyne and Wiradjuri nation walked from Bathurst to Old Government House to end the Bathurst War against Wiradjuri with Uncle Paul Towney. We will start at Windradyne's burial site on Monday and connect with Wiradjuri country, completing short walks along the trail as we camp on Gundungurra and Darug country, arriving at Burramatta on Friday morning to meet with Darug and other Nations for grassroots sovereignty talks and a banquet. Dates:
23rd - Windradyne's Burial Site, Bathurst (Brucedale)
24th - Wallerawang, Near Lithgow (Lake Wallace)
25th - Katoomba (Campground TBA)
26th - Penrith (Campground TBA)
27th - Arrive at Old Government House (Parramatta Park)
What to expect:
We will be camping at each stop, and have an afternoon event planned on Wednesday the 10th. There are also short walks (under 5km) and yarns planned at each stop.
People are welcome to join us at any point, or drop in for just a day.
This is a family friendly and dry event. Please don't bring along alcohol or illicit substances, and remember that young people and Elders will be present.
There will be a bus for those without transport (please message asap to book your spot), but feel free to bring along your own vehicle.
If you are intending to be in the bus, we ask that you consider contributing $15 per day you will be traveling with us.
Dinner will be provided each day, we recommend donating $10 for each meal you will be enjoying with us.
This is a pay as you can model, with no one turned away for lack of funds. If you are able to make a more sizable donation, we ask that you do.
While travelling together we ask that everyone pitch in and help one another. Volunteers to cook and clean will be needed each day.

What to bring:
Please pack light as space is limited.
It will get warm during the day, and cold at night, and there is a chance of rain some days, so please pack accordingly.

-sturdy and comfortable walking shoes
-clothing suitable for camping and outdoor activities
-personal toiletries and medication
-snacks and breakfast/lunch
-water bottle
-sunscreen, hat and rain gear
-warm clothes for night time
