Join us for a relaxed, hands-on workshop where you'll learn the art of willow weaving and create your own round basket to take home.
Working with sustainably sourced willow, you’ll be guided step-by-step through traditional techniques - from forming the base to shaping the sides. We'll focus on building a strong, simple basket, with the option to add different borders and either woven or rope style handles depending on your pace and preference. Those with more experience will also have the option to incorporate multiple styles of weave within the design of the basket.
A calm, tactile day of making, this is a chance to slow down, work with your hands, and reconnect with natural craft in good company.
All materials are provided, along with warm drinks—just bring a packed lunch, which you can enjoy on the outside deck overlooking the stunning coastal views.
Willow weaving is beginner-friendly, but it does require some finger strength and dexterity. If you suffer from arthritis in your hands, this may not be the best session for you.
Come away with new skills, fresh inspiration, and a handmade basket shaped by your own pace and experience.
