THE WILD VOICES SALON
Sa-Lon [No. _]: An Intimate Evening of Spoken Word, Open Conversation + Good Company
Tuesday, October 27th · 7:30–10:30PM
Hosted by Moira and Harper
1 Clinton, Brooklyn, NY
What is a poetry salon?
Part reading, part conversation, part gathering of kindred spirits. Inspired by Zo Flamenbaum's debut book, Where the Wild Woman Grows, Wild Voices brings the intimate salon tradition - beloved in Zo's gatherings abroad - to Brooklyn.
The flow of the evening:
- 7:30: Doors, drinks + mingling
- 8:00: Readings from Where the Wild Woman Grows
- 8:45: Open conversation: the room responds, shares, and swaps stories
- 10:00ish: Closing circle + book signing
What you'll leave with:
Real conversation (not small talk), a room of new friends, poetry that stays with you - and a signed copy if you choose the book tier :)
No experience needed. You don't have to share...but you might want to.
Tix: $25 or $45 with book
[ No one turned away for lack of funds - please talk to me if you need > [email protected] ]
Book and handmade art will be available for sale.
Treats will be served.
Can't wait to see you!
