About this Event
Join me for a gentle nature-inspired afternoon, beginning with a wander along the beautiful Braunston canal.
We’ll meet at Braunston Marina car park before setting off on a gentle walk along the canal. This is an invitation to slow down and really notice what’s around us — the shapes, textures, colours and tiny details we so often walk past. Along the way, I’ll share some seasonal foraging knowledge, plant folklore and stories, while we gather a small selection of natural materials that catch our attention.
We’ll then make our way to the lovely Serendipity art studio, where we’ll settle in with wild tea and homemade cake and use what we’ve gathered to create simple botanical ink prints. This isn’t about being an artist or producing something perfect. It’s about looking closely, being curious and enjoying the process of making something inspired by our time outdoors. No creative experience is needed and all materials are provided.
With only six places, this will be a relaxed and intimate 2½ hour experience with plenty of space to slow down, notice, connect and create.
Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear. The walk is gentle, but paths may be uneven, muddy or wet depending on the weather. Toilets are available at Serendipity.
Suitable for adults and young people aged 12+ when accompanied by an adult.
