We’re bringing our screen community together for a special evening of women-led filmmaking, conversation and connection at the Dendy Newtown, and we’d love you to be part of it.
WIFT NSW PRESENTS | The Stories We Take Home | Panel Q&A
Time: 6pm
Date: 1st Nov
Location: The Dendy Newtown, Sydney
Book Your Tickets Now: https://newtown.dendy.com.au/movie/the-policewoman/
Join us for the premiere of The Policewoman, directed by WIFT NSW member Claire Pasvolsky and Impact Produced by member Nadine Torney.
The film follows former Victoria Police detective Narelle Fraser and her extraordinary 27-year career investigating some of Australia's most serious crimes. The film takes audiences beyond the criminal investigations to meet the woman behind the detective and explore her experiences of occupational trauma, PTSD and recovery.
After the film, Narelle and Claire will join us in person for a Q&A, alongside Walkley Award-winning filmmaker Janine Hosking and trauma-informed screen practitioner Niff Howard.
Together, we'll explore the stories we carry home from our work, the creative responsibilities of sensitive storytelling, and how we care for the people who share their stories, the crews who help make them and the audiences who experience them.
Gather your crew and friends. Come and see the film, and join the conversation.
We'd really love to see you there!
The WIFT NSW Team
