Fortnightly outdoor voice-off social from 11am at Camperdown Memorial Rest Park (this is different to Camperdown Park), 5 min walk from Newtown train station. All welcome - Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Auslan students/learners, CODAs, interpreters, other Auslan users, etc etc! No need to bring anything, but can grab a coffee on your way or bring snacks if you want, or a picnic blanket.**If you have any cold/flu/covid-like symptoms at all, please stay home** 💙
Will meet in a shady spot on either side of the toilet block (can change depending how busy it is). If you arrive and can’t find people signing, look in the Discussion tab to see if anyone’s posted where they are, or post and ask.
Eliza St seems the best wheelchair route from Newtown station - the start of the street is shared vehicles/pedestrians and then the footpath on the right is wide. The toilet block has an accessible toilet.
If rain seems likely a few days prior, will book Golden Barley's undercover beer garden if available, or if it unexpectedly rains on the day will move to either the Courthouse Hotel’s or The Bank’s undercover beer garden at 12pm (because they don’t open until then).
