Join IABC/BC for a PD event featuring experts Elizabeth Bowker, Marina Gardiner and Agata Zasada on career mapping for all stages.
About this Event

So you’ve explored IABC’s Career Roadmap and you want to delve deeper into mapping your path in communications. Join our professional development event October 22 to hear our panel of experts discuss career mapping through the lens of current research, projected job market and recruitment opportunities. They’ll offer practical tips for all stages.

The arc of work life has changed dramatically over the past 20 years. Together, Gen Z (up to age 30) and millennials (30-45) now make up more than 50 per cent of the workforce and are projected to hold 10-15 jobs in their working lifetime. At the other end of the working spectrum, Boomers (age 62+) are creating opportunities with “working retirement,” staying in the workforce longer, and adding side-gigs in new areas. And in between, the Gen X generation are considering new mid- to late-career changes unlike any time before now.

You’ll hear from an expert panel including perspectives from researcher and author Elizabeth Bowker, recruiting consultant Marina Gardiner and people experience leader Agata Zasada, moderated by celebrated senior communicator Jennifer Wah, ABC, SCMP, MC, IABC Fellow.

Arrive at 4:30 for networking; event starts at 5 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
