Join us for community rehearsals of "When a City Sings: Columbia in Concert," an original modern-day cantata created as part of Columbia’s Artist Laureate project. Built from the words, stories, hopes, and experiences shared by people throughout our city, this new work explores what connects us: what it means to belong, to be seen, and to make room for one another.
These rehearsals are an invitation to singers and musicians from across Columbia to help bring the piece to life!
*You do not need to belong to a participating choir to join us. All are welcome. Come on your own, bring a friend, or bring your whole section. Whether you’ve sung for years or are looking for a way back into music, there is a place for your voice here.*
Together, we’ll learn the music, explore the stories behind it, and build toward the culminating performance of When a City Sings: Columbia in Concert.
