About this Event
UCL Special Collections are hosting What's so Special about UCL Special Collections? on the UCL East campus in Stratford. You will meet friendly team members and see a small selection of the department's impressive collection of rare books and archives.
The event will begin with a brief introduction to UCL Special Collections, followed by a relaxed display where you can explore a small display of our collection items. You are welcome to stay for as long as you wish within the session and chat with our team.
Our team will be happy to tell you about the items on display and to answer any questions you might have. It's a great opportunity to learn about what special collections are and to meet people working as archivists and educators at a fun, free event!
Please arrive at the entrance of Marshgate at least five minutes before the event begins so we can sign you in. A member of our team will meet you there to help you with signing in to enter the campus and walking through to the Culture Lab.
The event takes place in Culture Lab, Marshgate, a teaching and exhibition space which works with collections from UCL and beyond to support and nurture a new generation of curators. Please note food, drink, and bags are not allowed in the Culture Lab. Lockers are available for everyone to put bags in, and the entire area is secure.
There will be photography at this event, please tell us on arrival if you would prefer that you are not in any photographs taken.
Please bring your Eventbrite ticket with you, printed out or on your phone, as security will need to see this when you sign in to enter campus.
