Most of us have an idea we’ve been meaning to pursue. I had dozens that sat on the shelf for years.
Although I’ve spent my career leading innovation and product development for startups and Fortune 500 companies, I had ironically left many of my own ideas unexplored.
Last year, I decided to change that. I gave myself one simple challenge: create.
Less than a year later, one small anniversary tradition my husband and I created has become a published book that is helping couples meaningfully connect—and, more importantly, has transformed the way I think about bringing my own ideas to life.
This talk isn’t just about publishing a book. It’s about what happens when you finally choose one idea and see it through.
I’ll share what I learned about overcoming perfectionism, embracing iteration, and turning “someday” into something real. Whether you’re sitting on a business idea, a passion project, or a dream you’ve been postponing, I hope you’ll leave inspired to stop waiting and start making.
