Weekly Friendly Gravel Rides : a.k.a Whacky Wednesdays
Each week, we head out to find another cool off-road trail, tunnel, bridge or canal path as a group.
Whacky Wednesdays are casual, friendly and less technical than our longer weekend gravel rides. We're usually out for around 2-3 hours and almost always head back to Station South for social drinks after [this is optional of course!].
[Meet] Station South Bike Benches
[When] 6.10 pm for a 6.30 pm departure
[Suitable for] Confident cyclists* used to riding with a group, in proximity to water, on loose gravel and for the time and distance advertised.
[Bike required] MTB, gravel, touring.
[What to bring] Helmet, water, snacks, clothes for the weather, spare tube, front + rear lights
[Sign Ups] All sign ups and detailed information for our various rides and cycling events are organised through Spond, which is a platform we use solely for our 'Pink' rides. Pink events listed on EventBrite are to hook more people in, but please make sure you sign up via Spond to join in with these rides. Check out the colour definitions below if you're new to Station South Cycling Club.
* If this doesn't sound like your cycling ability, make sure to check out our other rides - we have Blue [chilled, distance] or Yellow [learn, progress, play]. Feel free to follow those ride collections on Spond and EventBrite and you'll get a notification when rides are listed.
Are you more of a Roady? Check out our Thursday Hills + Sunday Classics Club Rides, heading out on a weekly basis.
