Why Take This Class?
Accidents, severe weather, and other emergencies can quickly leave individuals and groups responsible for managing medical situations on their own. When emergency services are delayed, unavailable, or overwhelmed, even relatively minor injuries can become serious without proper care.
Most traditional first aid courses focus on situations where professional responders arrive quickly. This course addresses the realities of providing care when help may be hours away and when leadership, decision-making, and resourcefulness are just as important as medical skills.
This highly interactive course combines expert instruction with hands-on practice, realistic scenarios, and problem-solving exercises designed to build practical emergency care skills and confidence. Approximately 50% of the course is devoted to hands-on, scenario-based learning, allowing participants to apply their knowledge in realistic situations and develop the judgment needed to respond effectively under pressure.
Participants will leave with practical skills, increased confidence, and the ability to provide appropriate emergency care when professional assistance is not immediately accessible.
