Calling all carers - are you a carer living in East Sussex?
Do you support someone (an adult aged 18+) who couldn’t manage without your help – perhaps a partner, friend, family member, or neighbour? If so, our free 6-week WRAP Course for Carers offers a welcoming space just for you. Join other carers in a supportive group where you can pause, connect, and focus on your own wellbeing.
On this FREE, in person, Wellness Recovery Action Planning (WRAP) Course you can…
- Discover wellness tools
- Create a daily wellness plan
- Identify triggers and early warning signs
- Learn about action planning for times when life gets challenging
- Explore crisis planning
- Build confidence and self-esteem
- Share experience and learn from others
- Focus on your wellbeing
- Be supported, valued, and respected in a safe space with experienced facilitators, Lucy & Molly
This course "gives you a chance to look at your wellness from a new perspective. The concept of having a plan for my wellness had never even entered my mind before taking part in this course. About the course
This is a structured 6-week course where each session builds on the last, supporting connection, trust, and shared learning. We understand carers may occasionally miss a session, but drop-in attendance isn’t possible, and the group closes to new participants after Session 2 to maintain a safe, consistent space.
When & where is this course taking place?
The course will be held in the Community Wise, Eastbourne.
The sessions will take place over 6 weeks on Mondays from 10:00am to 1:00pm as follows:
Session 1 – 9 November 2026
Session 2 – 16 November 2026
Session 3 – 23 November 2026
Session 4 – 30 November 2026
Session 5 – 7 December 2026
Session 6 – 14 December 2026
Who can attend?
Any unpaid carer, living in East Sussex, caring for an adult age 18+.
Financial Support for your healthcare appointments: We recognise that finding time for yourself as a carer is not always easy, and arranging alternative care can sometimes be a barrier to attending a course. Financial support may be available to help cover the cost of replacement care while you take part in WRAP. If this would make attending easier, please contact Care for the Carers to find out more about the Healthcare Appointment Respite Grant (HARG), eligibility criteria, and how to apply. Care for the Carers administers the grant locally and can advise you on the support available.
