Join us for a morning of Wellness in the Watershed!
The Escondido Creek Conservancy is pleased to offer four wellness-based events in our Outdoor Classroom at Mountain Meadow Preserve. We’re calling this series Wellness in the Watershed, and we have an exciting lineup of instructors who will each lead a unique session in their wellness practice. Mindfulness, meditation, and gentle movement are woven into every session.
We’ll explore the benefits of each practice and then spend at least an hour immersed in the experience. Each session will be held outdoors at the Swenerton Education Center, our open-air classroom at Mountain Meadow. Birds soaring and singing, bees buzzing, and lizards rustling through the brush will set the tone for a relaxing two-hour event.
This workshop series will take place from 9AM - 11AM on the following 4 Saturdays:

- Saturday, September 26th, 2026
- Saturday, October 24th, 2026
Yoga & Sound Bath with Sara Ferrer (Saturday, May 23rd)
Relax and unwind with Sara Ferrer, a certified yoga teacher, in a soothing session of Yin and Restorative Yoga. Enjoy guided meditation enhanced by the calming sounds of crystal singing bowls and Koshi chimes.
Land-based Somatic Practices with Mandy McGaugh (Saturday, June 27th)
Join Mandy McGaugh, a practitioner with over 25 years of experience in somatic (body-based) practices, for a session that connects human experience to ecology and the natural world. The session includes breathwork, guided meditation, and light mindful movement.
Breathwork with Susan Tuttle (Saturday, September 26th)
Soothe your nervous system with the “Ah Ha” breathing workshop. This gentle, steady breathwork reduces stress, boosts oxygen and energy, and reconnects you with your essence. Expect benefits of breathwork, body awareness, an activity for self-connection, a guided meditation with music, and quiet reflection. Let the breath guide you to relaxation and balance.
Qigong with Martha Blane (Saturday, October 24th)
Join San Diego-based Qigong Teacher, Martha Blane, for a guided meditation and mindful movement, either seated or standing. Qigong warm up movements and a form will be included.
