Clearing dry brush and excess vegetation around your home creates defensible space, helping to slow the spread of fire.
Who can join
Residents in the area around each event.
How it works
Gather tree branches, brush, and shrubs. Do not include trash or vegetation netting.
Bring the vegetation to the event. We do not pick it up from your property. A crew will unload it at the event and chip the vegetation.
You can chip
Tree branches up to 6 inches in diameter.
Brush and shrubs
Do not bag any materials.
You cannot chip

Ice plant or succulents
Poison oak
Construction debris, lumber, or trash.
Amount
The chipping truck can typically hold 20 yards. You can bring material until the truck is full.
