Welcoming Winter through Psyche, Soma & Soul: A Mini-Retreat
An afternoon of reflection, reconnection, and turning inward
As the days grow shorter and the nights grow longer, the natural world begins to slow down. Winter invites us to do the same—to turn inward, listen more deeply, and make space for the parts of ourselves that often go unnoticed in the busyness of everyday life.
But darkness doesn't have to be something we fear or endure. It can also be a place of reflection, discovery, rest, and renewal.
Join Dr. Adrian Campbell for a three-hour experiential retreat exploring our relationship with winter through three interconnected dimensions of the self: psyche, soma, and soul.
Through guided meditation, gentle yoga, mindful movement, Reiki, and creative expression, we'll explore what it means to welcome the season with curiosity and intention.
Our Journey Inward
Psyche — Welcoming the Unconscious
Explore how dreams, symbols, and images offer pathways into our unconscious lives. Through a guided imaginal meditation, we'll create space for whatever wishes to emerge, then express our experiences through personal reflection.
Soma — Listening to the Body
Turn your attention toward the wisdom of the body through gentle yoga, breathwork, and somatic mindfulness. We'll explore what it means to slow down, notice, and inhabit our bodies more fully, followed by reflective journaling.
Soul — Connecting with the Soul of Winter
Explore intuition, energy, spirit, and our relationship with the deeper rhythms of the season. Through a Reiki healing attunement, we'll create space for stillness and inward connection and wrap up our time together by creating a sacred mandala.
What's Included
- Three hours of guided experiences and personal reflection
- Gentle yoga, somatic mindfulness, meditation, and a Reiki healing attunement
- Materials for creating your sacred mandala
- A complimentary copy of The Dreamer's Companion by Dr. Adrian Campbell
What to Bring
Dress comfortably and feel free to bring anything that helps you create a cozy, welcoming space for yourself. You're invited to bring your own yoga mat, bolster, pillows, blankets, or other items that support your comfort throughout the afternoon. You may also wish to bring a personal journal for reflection.
Yoga mats and blankets will also be available, so there's no need to bring your own unless you'd prefer to.
No previous experience with yoga, meditation, Reiki, or art is necessary. All meditation/yoga practices can be done seated or on the floor, whichever best accommodates your body. All practices are trauma-informed and taught with adaptations and modifications. It is a YOU do YOU situation, and all are welcome.
Come as you are, and give yourself an afternoon to welcome winter from within.
