Discover the stranger side of the history of science by candlelight. In honour of spooky season, we're lighting the Museum's historic galleries the old-fashioned way and taking a closer look at our most curious objects and unusual books...
What's On
Curator tours
What do water divining, spiritualists, pyramids, and Martians have to do with the history of science? What's a frog plate, and why is there a giant flayed hand in the Museum? Our Curator shares stories from her recent investigations into the collections...
Behind-the-scenes tours with our Collections Manager
Some of our strangest objects can be found safely locked in the Museum stores. For one night only, our Collections Manager will unlock the doors and take you behind the scenes...
The Book Nook with the Whipple Library
Tread carefully on your way to our Victorian Parlour: the Whipple Library team will have an array of their most unusual books for you to study... if you dare.
Plus
Explore the Museum at your own pace after dark. From a lightning house to a strange colony of fungi, who knows what you might spot?
