Every Wednesday at 9:00 a.m., people of faith and conscience gather outside the Atlanta ICE Field Office for a time of silent prayer, compassionate witness, and solidarity with immigrants and their families. Often, attorneys, family members, or community advocates ask us to hold a particular person or situation in prayer. We begin our time with a short song, followed by 10–15 minutes of silent prayer or meditation, and close with a spoken prayer. Each week, regardless of who joins us or what specific needs arise, we offer a peaceful and compassionate presence—accompanying immigrants with dignity, love, and solidarity. No registration is required. All are welcome to simply show up and join us.
History: The vigil began in January 2025 through the leadership of Rev. Colin Holtz, Co-Pastor of The Church at Ponce & Highland. With support from partners Casa Alterna, Faith in Public Life, Unitarian Universalist ministers, and other local faith leaders, the vigil has expanded.
