You're Invited to the DC Wednesday Contact Improv Jam !! A space of community co-regulation, collaboration, presence, movement and experimentation
We meet every 1st and 3d Wednesday of the month 6:30-9 at Dance Loft on 14th St. Studio 4 $5-20 ~~ instruments, art, journals, vibes, etc all encouraged
This is an all-levels jam, beginners are very welcome.
** please note this is an open jam, not a class**
General Flow ~~
[everything is opt-in and out as you please, only thing required is respect]
6:30 - opening circle with introductions and stretching
7:00 (ish) - guided warm-up
7:30 (ish) - open jam
8:40 (ish) - guided close-out, chance for any verbal shares
9:00 - we out, sometimes people hang outside for a bit
We generally have a community playlist on the speaker or live music if folks bring and sometimes silence too.
