🌅 WEDNESDAY MORNING BEACH MEDITATION🧘 Space Coast Sangha
📍 Paradise Beach / Howard E. Futch Memorial Park
⏰ Meditation begins promptly at 7:00 AM
🌊 Please arrive by 6:45 AM to get settled.
NEW LOCATION: We are now meeting at the NORTH END of the park, behind the volleyball courts. There is a path and accessible ramp down to the beach from this end, making our gathering easier to access.
Please give yourself enough time to park, walk down to the beach, get comfortable, and settle in. At 7:00, we begin.
☸️ WHAT IS SANGHA?
Sangha is a Buddhist word for community.
Traditionally, it refers to the community of people practicing the Dharma together. For us, it means something beautifully simple: we don’t have to do this alone.
We gather together to meditate, learn, practice, ask questions, laugh occasionally, breathe deeply, and become a little more awake to our own lives.
You do NOT need to be Buddhist.
You do NOT need meditation experience.
You do NOT need to know what you’re doing.
Come as you are.
☸️ WHAT IS DHARMA?
Dharma means the teachings and practices that help us understand the mind, suffering, and the path toward greater freedom.
We explore Buddhist teachings in ways that actually apply to real life: relationships, recovery, attachment, anger, fear, boundaries, forgiveness, equanimity, compassion, impermanence, and learning how to work with our own minds instead of constantly being dragged around by them.
This is Buddhism as a practice, not a belief system you are required to adopt.
The Buddha encouraged investigation.
Come see what is useful.
Practice it.
Experience it for yourself.
🌊 WHAT TO EXPECT
We begin by settling the body and the nervous system, then move into a guided meditation and Dharma teaching.
Some mornings are quiet and contemplative. Some mornings the ocean gives us our lesson before I ever open my mouth.
Bring a towel, blanket, cushion, or beach chair. Wear whatever makes you comfortable.
💛 ABOUT SPACE COAST SANGHA
Space Coast Sangha is a community centered around meditation, Buddhist principles, recovery, spiritual awakening, and learning how to live with greater awareness.
You don’t have to be in recovery.
You don’t have to belong to a particular religion.
You don’t have to believe what I believe.
You just need to be willing to sit down, get curious about your own mind, and practice with us.
🙏 DANA
These meditations are offered in the Buddhist tradition of Dana, the practice of generosity.
Dana isn’t simply a fee for meditation. It is part of the practice itself. Generosity allows these community teachings to continue and supports the time, preparation, and energy required to keep Space Coast Sangha growing.
If this practice brings value to your life, you are invited to support it through Dana.
We practice together because what happens in one person doesn’t stay with one person.
When one of us becomes more peaceful, more compassionate, more aware, and less reactive, we carry that into our homes, relationships, workplaces, and communities.
We sit together. We learn together. We wake up together.
