About this Event
With instructor Cassie Jones we will be constructing baskets using nothing but lengths of dry reeds!
Meet up at the UNDERGROUND Craft Coven Studio at 10 North 3rd street in Old City and create your own custom basket. Your instructor will walk you through the steps involved in making a basket style of your choosing. We will use traditional weaving techniques as well as the option to learn a style of twining to create more open weave baskets. We will also cover making handles of different styles, or adding decorative touches to your baskets.
All supplies are included but feel free to bring any specialty yarn or cording if you'd like to try and incorporate it into your personalized basket. Email with any questions [email protected]

About the Location: The coven studio is located in the heart of Olde City in a below ground storefront. There are 10 steps down to get into the space, and our ceilings are not very high. Anyone over 6'4" will have watch their head until they have a seat. Any more questions about accessibility-please reach out!
