About this Event

The Jane Addams Hull-House Museum is excited to partner with the Chicago Park District’s Young Cultural Stewards to present their short film We Are Each Other’s Harvest. The film is a thoughtful collection of images and video excerpts from interviews uplifting the work of Chicago's BIPOC & LGBQIA2S land stewards and cultural workers. The screening will be followed by a conversation featuring three land stewards from the film and moderated by Hull-House Curatorial Assistant Fabrizzio Subia.

  • Fawn Pochel, First Nations Garden
  • Stephan Hamer, Grow Greater Englewood and Nuke 'n Granny's
  • Taryn Randle, Getting Grown Collective

This program is presented alongside Perennial City: Experiments in Urban Gardening and aims to highlight the people and organizations in the city who are working to redefine land access and provide space for community growth.

Perennial City: Experiments in Urban Gardening is supported by the Efroymson Family Fund, the Helen Frankenthaler Foundation, by generous donors to the museum's annual Neighborhood Social. Public programs are supported by the Building Climate Resilient Spaces for the Humanities at UIC project.
