Have a fun time getting in the Christmas spirit by painting Christmas cards with trees…decorated, snowy, or ornamented with irridescent glass balls! At the same time learn basic watercolor techniques like layering, painting around the whites, wet-into-wet, wet-on-dry, soft and hard edges, and use of color.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Michelle George is a mostly self-taught watercolor artist, and has been painting for over 25 years. After moving to Idaho in 2020, she has taken full advantage of the CSI classes which are free for those over 60 , including Drawing 1 and 2, Art History, Calligraphy, and Figure Drawing. Michelle enjoys teaching adults, and teaches a watercolor group that meets around her kitchen table, as well as students that she teaches over Zoom. From 2019 to 2023, Michelle was the Co-Program Director for the California Watercolor Association, conducting monthly General Meetings and hosting demonstrations over Zoom. She has participated in Art and Soul in 2023, 2025, and 2026 and just recently has become the representative for the Idaho Water Society south central region.
