About this Event
Water Memories & Flood Futures is a University of Hull project investigating the history of flooding in Hull and Grimsby. Together with children and young people we have used newspaper stories, oral histories and artwork to explore life in our watery region, the impact of floods and memories of the Humber. Using often very serious and occasionally very humorous stories this exhibition brings our work together to increase awareness of our local environmental heritage and flood risk.
Come and visit us to share your own memories of flooding; see artwork by children and young people; talk to the Living with Water team; take part in free art and history activities; and, find out about the time fish went to the pub on High Street!
