About this Event
Most attacks don’t happen because a company is famous or high profile. They happen because someone clicked the wrong link, opened a fake invoice, or didn’t realise their systems were vulnerable.
Join us for a practical and easy-to-understand cyber security session designed for businesses of all sizes, from start-ups and growing companies to established organisations. This is not a technical IT seminar. It’s a straightforward event focused on helping business owners understand the real risks, the common mistakes companies make, and the simple steps that can help protect your business, staff and customers.
During this three-hour event, we’ll cover:
- What cyber security actually means for businesses
- The real-world impact of phishing, scams and ransomware attacks
- Why more businesses are being targeted through suppliers and emails
- The financial and reputational risks of getting it wrong
- New cyber laws and responsibilities businesses need to be aware of
- Simple improvements you can make immediately
You’ll leave with practical advice, a clearer understanding of where your business may be exposed, and guidance on the next steps that may be right for your organisation - whether that’s basic cyber awareness or recognised certifications such as Cyber Essentials.
The session will be delivered by The Rybec Group, specialists in helping UK businesses improve their cyber security and achieve Cyber Essentials certification.
Refreshments and networking will follow the event, giving you the chance to connect with other local businesses and continue the conversation in a relaxed setting.
