Let’s celebrate together as we share in an evening of peace, beauty, hope, and memories. Families and friends gather to decorate lanterns that are released at sunset. This tranquil evening is an awe-inspiring sight when hundreds of lanterns are launched on the Las Colonias Butterfly Pond, filling it with a soft, warm glow. Attendance is free, and food trucks will be onsite. Water lantern kits, including the lantern, LED tea light, and two markers, are $8 each, or six kits for $42. Presale ends at 4:00 pm on October 9. Lanterns cost $10 the day of the event. *Only lanterns purchased through Parks and Recreation are allowed.Following the event, around 8 p.m., a special Colorado 150 - America 250 drone show will be featured by Brightflight Drone Shows.
