The Tenth of a series walks along the River Lea , which sees the Lea go through the Olympic Park and finally reach the Thames
About this Event

The River Lea is one of the longest, and most important tributaries of the Thames  - taking a 42 mile journey from Bedfordshire to join the Thames at Bow Creek in East London. The Lea has formed the boundary between Saxon's and Danes, been home to medieval mills, London's furniture industry and flows through the Olympic Park. This series of walks will look at the history of the River Lea, tracing its course on its way to the Thames.

The last part of our journey along the lea takes us through the Olympic Park, passing London Stadium. The route passes many former industrial sites before reaching the beautiful tide mills at Bow. The route takes us to Canning Town to see the last loops of the Lea before it reaches the Thames at Trinity Buoy Wharf

The walk is about 5 miles in total and finishes at Trinity Buoy Wharf which is near Canning Town Station.
